We've received some more entries and some questions. The new entries are below, please check them out. And now for the questions.
A few of our members have asked how we planned to judge the contest. Is it by a poll, or vote or a judges panel consisting of our admins. Polls are definitely out as it does not seem even remotely fair. Which leaves us with the option of members voting for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place by NOTE or leaving it to the Admins to decide. Which would you prefer, dear members?
We would really like to see our members participate in the voting. We've also decided that only the members who have joined us before the contest submission deadline can vote in the contest. Then there is also the option of counting a vote from a *
Care-Club admin as more than one vote. It's just an option giving the Admins a little more power over the voting outcome. Since some of the admins (with the exception of =
Lazulyte and *
Azmyst) are also allowed to join the contest, this would mean that no member can vote for their own contest entry.
I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
Also, some recent members have requested that the deadline for the contest be extended. What are your thoughts on it as well? Please let us know by replying here or if you prefer NOTE *

This is where I rummage through some of *
Care-Club member's galleries and pick one from each gallery to feature here. The one I pick is the one that stood out most for me from among the deviant's gallery based on my taste. This time I checked through the galleries of the deviants who had joined our club in July and August 2006. Those who weren't featured here, just wait. I will get to you soon.
The coolest thing about this is that it requires absolutely zero participation from the members. But it would help if you could check out the each others galleries and
their work. This is *
Care-Club after all.

Azmyst
This isn't the most original theme for a contest but I think it's appropriate and very easy one to participate in. The theme for the new contest is
"New Beginnings"; which I think is appropriate since it's the first month of the year. Check below for rules and other relevant stuff.
Contest Theme:
As stated earlier the theme of the contest is “New Beginnings” and I think it’s pretty straight forward and self-explanatory. You are free to use whatever medium you wish to work on the entry, including poetry and literature.
Rules:
ONLY Members of Care-Club can participate in the contest
The entry has to be a completely new deviation made SPECIFICALLY for the contest and it should not be entered into any other contest being conducted in DA until our contest is over. Contest entries should not be submitted to the Care-Club gallery.
Mature content, to some extent, is acceptable but no full frontal nudity, blood or gore. The Club Contest Admin reserves the right to decide whether the deviation meets the specifications.
Only 1 submission per deviant will be entered into the contest but you are free to submit up to three deviations for our consideration. In such cases the Contests Admin will decide which one is best among the submissions sent in by the deviant and enter it into the contest. By submitting more than one entry you are giving permission to the Gallery Admin to choose.
Send your entry via NOTE with the subject NEW BEGINNINGS CONTEST
Any type of art is acceptable.
The description of the deviation in YOUR gallery should include the following text: "This is my entry for *
Care-Club ‘New Beginnings’ contest."

I said this because I've join a lot of contest and I don't like the pool vote. A lot of people vote for him/herself and, if they have a lot of friend, they will win thanks to this friendship. Also, this contest theme have a lot of interpretations, so I think that only who opened the contest can chose what entry really fits in the contest's theme more than other entry and will be the "best".
I hope my poor english will be intelligible
